AHHHH! There is water dripping down from the ceiling into my office area! The bathtub upstairs has sprung a leak! Over the four years or so since we had our bathroom remodeled I brought in a plumber who replaced a leaky joint to the drain, removed and recaulked some of the tile around the bathtub, and now I’ve replaced the waste drain on the tub to correct yet another leak.
There are a lot of tasks I’ll just hire a professional for…but I tried taking care of (and appear to have been successful) this one myself. Here are the resources I used to accomplish this process:
- Repair a Leaking Bathtub (Video) by Chris Wade (eHow)
- How to Fix a Leaking Bathtub Drain (Article) by Gail Delaney (eHow).
P.S. I’m now building a DIY page that will list different DIY tasks that I’ve learned about (and will learn about) over the years and the resources I’ve used to accomplish them.
