SnapFiles – useful and free software.

For years I have been using a site called SnapFiles (formerly WebAttack) to find great software. There are a number of download repositories out there – such as C|Net’s…but this little (comparatively) site has much to offer that the massive repositories don’t.

First, SnapFiles only includes applications they have downloaded and reviewed and considered worthwhile. On many other sites you will get lost in all the garbage – on SnapFiles – the programs are all good and trustworthy (no viruses/spyware).

Secondly, SnapFiles offers detailed reviews of their software, screenshots, five star ratings that help you make an intelligent decision on what software will best serve your needs.

Finally, SnapFiles divides its software neatly into freeware and shareware categories. There aren’t demos on the site – just working applications. Most times you can find something in the freeware section, but on the rare occasion – they have excellent shareware available as well.

Bookmark this site. I visit it probably at least twice a week.
